I was trying for “Ruby Red” Grapefruit, but I can’t get the “red” from Emporium Naturals to produce the color on their site. Lord KNOWS I have tried. Anyhow, this batch was slightly warm when I cut it. The color will even out, as it cools/cures. There’s no olive oil in it. I subbed a RBO/Sweet Almond combo.
It’s scented with Southern Soapers’ (of course) Grapefruit Cassis. It’s a strong, sweet grapefruit scent, that puts up a good fight and survives the lye.
it!

I made this soap last nite. The “blue” layer is more blue-green because of the FO and the honey, but it’ll work. I’m surprised the color came out this good! There’s ground oatmeal in the bottom layer Fragranced with The Original Soap Dish’ Blueberry Crumble. I was told to go light on the FO (by the company owner), but I hope it’ll hold up during cure time.
I didn’t post a pic of the Spiced Cider soap I made earlier this week — my swap buddy will get me if I do. The swap soap is supposed to be a …surprise.
**UPDATE** The Blueberry Crumble FO darkens quite a bit. Look at the soap…now. I
it!

Been REALLY busy! Haven’t had time to blog…or soap. I did make my Spiced Cider swap soap, this evening. I just finished the labels.. I wanted to get this soap project out of the way, so I could get a 4-5 week cure time in, before I ship. Mission accomplished!
